The Tilia trio is one of the most renowned saxophone ensembles in the Czech Republic. It is characterized by virtuosity, tonal sophistication, and perfect musical interplay. All the members of the ensemble are excellent and recognized instrumentalists in their field, with each regularly performing as featured soloists with a variety of ensembles. The members of Tilia Trio all teach the saxophone at conservatories and elementary music schools, where they pass on their skills and enthusiasm for playing the instrument to the next generation of saxophonists.
The Tilia trio often performs at music festivals and concerts in the Czech Republic and abroad. The ensemble's repertoire consists of adaptations of famous classical compositions from the Baroque Era to the present, skillfully arranged by Kateřina Pavlíková. The ensemble also performs new and modern works, including many that were specifically composed for the saxophone trio.
